1. Purpose and Scope

This Commercial Electronic Message Consent Text has been prepared by Keysletter ("Company") in accordance with:

  • Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce (dated 23.10.2014)
  • Regulation on Commercial Communication and Commercial Electronic Messages (dated 15.07.2015)
  • Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK)

The purpose of this text is to inform you about the types of commercial electronic messages that Keysletter may send to you and to obtain your explicit consent for receiving such messages.

2. Definitions

  • Commercial Electronic Message: Any electronic message sent via email, SMS, or other electronic channels for the purpose of promoting, marketing, or advertising products, services, campaigns, promotions, or events, as defined in Article 2 of Law No. 6563.
  • Service Provider: Keysletter, operating the email marketing platform at keysletter.com.
  • Recipient: The natural or legal person to whom the commercial electronic message is sent.
  • IYS (Message Management System): The national consent management platform operated under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce of the Republic of Turkey, where commercial message consents are registered and managed.
  • Consent: The explicit, informed, and freely given approval of the recipient to receive commercial electronic messages, obtained in compliance with the applicable legislation.

3. Scope of Consent

By giving your consent, you agree to receive commercial electronic messages from Keysletter regarding:

  • New features, product updates, and platform improvements
  • Promotional campaigns, special offers, and discount announcements
  • Plan upgrades, pricing changes, and new service introductions
  • Industry insights, email marketing tips, and best practices
  • Webinar invitations, events, and educational content
  • Partner and third-party service promotions (only with your additional consent)
  • Customer surveys, feedback requests, and satisfaction polls

4. Message Delivery Channels

Commercial electronic messages may be sent through the following channels:

  • Email: To the email address provided during registration or subsequently updated in account settings
  • SMS/Text Message: To the mobile phone number provided during registration (if applicable)
  • Push Notifications: Through web browser or mobile application notifications (if enabled)
  • Phone Calls: Voice calls for promotional purposes (only with separate explicit consent)

5. Message Content

In accordance with Article 5 of Law No. 6563, every commercial electronic message sent by Keysletter will include:

  • Clear identification of the message as a commercial communication
  • Sender identity: "Keysletter"
  • Valid contact information (email, phone, address)
  • A clear and easily accessible unsubscribe mechanism
  • Accurate subject line reflecting the content of the message

6. Right to Opt-Out

In accordance with Article 6 of Law No. 6563, you have the right to withdraw your consent and opt out of receiving commercial electronic messages at any time, free of charge. You can exercise this right through the following methods:

  • Clicking the "Unsubscribe" link included in every commercial email
  • Sending an email to info@keysletter.com with the subject "Unsubscribe"
  • Updating your notification preferences in your account settings
  • Through the IYS (Message Management System) platform at iys.org.tr
  • Replying "STOP" to SMS messages (for SMS channel)

Your opt-out request will be processed within 3 (three) business days at the latest. After opting out, you will no longer receive commercial electronic messages from Keysletter. Please note that transactional messages related to your account (password reset, security notifications, invoice notifications, service-critical updates) are not considered commercial messages and will continue to be sent regardless of your commercial message preferences.

7. IYS Registration

In accordance with the Regulation on Commercial Communication and Commercial Electronic Messages, your consent information will be registered with the IYS (İleti Yönetim Sistemi / Message Management System) platform operated under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce. Through IYS (accessible at iys.org.tr), you can: view all companies that have your commercial message consent, withdraw your consent for specific companies or all companies at once, check the status and history of your consents. The Company is obligated to check IYS before sending any commercial electronic message and will not send messages to recipients who have withdrawn their consent through IYS.

8. Message Frequency

Keysletter will not exceed a reasonable frequency for commercial electronic messages. Typically, you may expect to receive promotional messages no more than 2-4 times per month. Campaign and event-based messages may be sent additionally during special promotion periods. You can customize your message frequency preferences through your account settings at any time.

9. Protection of Personal Data

Your contact information (email address, phone number) provided for commercial message purposes will be processed in accordance with KVKK and our Privacy Policy.

  • Your contact data will be used solely for sending commercial messages and managing your consent
  • Your data will not be shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes without your explicit consent
  • Consent records (date, time, method, scope) will be retained for 3 years after withdrawal, as required by law
  • You may exercise all your rights under KVKK Article 11 regarding your personal data used for commercial messages

10. Duration and Validity of Consent

Your consent remains valid indefinitely until you choose to withdraw it. You may withdraw your consent at any time using any of the methods described in Section 6 above. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of messages sent prior to the withdrawal. Upon withdrawal, your consent status will be updated in the IYS system, and commercial messages will cease within 3 business days. Keysletter reserves the right to send one final confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out.

11. Exceptions

The following types of messages are NOT considered commercial electronic messages under Law No. 6563 and do not require consent. These will continue to be sent regardless of your commercial message preferences:

  • Account verification and password reset emails
  • Security alerts and unauthorized access notifications
  • Invoice and payment confirmation notifications
  • Service-critical notifications (maintenance, outages, security patches)
  • Legal and regulatory compliance notifications (Terms of Service changes, Privacy Policy updates)
  • Account suspension and termination notifications
  • Responses to your support requests and inquiries

12. Complaints and Applications

If you believe you have received unauthorized commercial electronic messages from Keysletter, or if your opt-out request has not been processed, you may:

  • Contact us directly at info@keysletter.com
  • File a complaint through the IYS platform (iys.org.tr)
  • Apply to the Ministry of Commerce through e-Government (e-Devlet)
  • File a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) at www.kvkk.gov.tr for data protection concerns

In accordance with Article 12 of Law No. 6563, administrative fines of up to 1,000,000 TL may be imposed on service providers who send commercial electronic messages without consent or who fail to process opt-out requests. Keysletter takes full responsibility for compliance with all applicable regulations.
